In Weight-Loss Maintenance on October 20, 2010 at 11:21 am

Okay, I promise that I will talk more about how the endocrine profile is different in weight-reduced people from people at their body’s highest, preferred established weight, but today is National Love Your Body Day, and I can’t ignore that.  The endocrine post on a day like today would be a little like invading a Presbyterian Church on Easter and conducting a Pagan ritual, or a Pagan Temple on Solstice and having a tent revival.  So, for all my friends of all sizes, I offer the following link:  It’s Raining Men

Regardless of whether you are a size acceptance advocate, a long-time maintainer or somewhere on the ski slope losing, coasting or just beginning the hard cross-country trek that is maintenance, take a little time to jump up from your chair and have a microburst of exercise.  If this isn’t enough for you, browse the various versions available through You Tube.  One proves that Martha Wash can rock a wig on par with RuPaul.  

One little disappointing note:  all the versions are size diverse with regard to the women, but not so much so with regard to the men.  Hmmmm.

  1. OMG. How awesome is that video? I can’t believe I’ve never seen it before. Given the fact that it’s common to see a fat guy with a thin, conventionally attractive woman in the media but unheard of to see a fat woman with a conventionally attractive man, I’ll let them off the hook for the muscle boys. LOL.
